Fans of Crystal Palace have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed the news of Reece Hannam signing a contract extension at the south London club.

According to a statement on the Crystal Palace website, the 20-year-old left-back has put pen to paper on a new deal with Roy Hodgson’s side, which will see him remain at Selhurst Park until the summer of 2023, with the option to extend a further year.

It is said that the defender, who joined Palace last summer, has been a ‘key member’ of Shaun Derry’s U23 side this season, featuring in 11 fixtures over which he has provided his teammates with four assists.

While the youngster is yet to make his debut for Hodgson’s first-team, he has featured in a matchday squad, being an unused substitute in the club’s 0-0 draw with Fulham towards the end of February.

And, after Crystal Palace relayed news of Hannam’s contract extension on Twitter, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many urging Hodgson to include the youth prospect in the club’s upcoming Premier League fixtures.

وتابع: “لا يشغلنا المنافسين بقدر الاهتمام بتحقيق تلك الأهداف سعيا للظهور بالمستوى المأمول والمنتظر عند استئناف مسابقة الدوري الممتاز”.

Após as partidas contra o Santa Cruz, o Ceará decidirá seu futuro no Estadual diante do Uniclinic, fora de casa, no próximo dia 10. Vencer não bastará para o Vozão. A classificação às semifinais só acontecerá e caso de triunfo no Presidente Vargas e tropeço de Guarani de Juazeiro ou Guarany de Sobral, que visitarão Fortaleza e Maranguape, respectivamente.

In an exclusive interview with Football FanCast, former Premier League striker Marlon Harewood revealed he has not been surprised by the impact Dominic Calvert-Lewin has made at Everton this season.

The 23-year-old has been spearheading the Toffees’ push for Champions League football, scoring an impressive 13 goals in English football’s top flight so far.

Not always being a regular at Goodison Park, Calvert-Lewin’s explosion may have come as a surprise to some. That, however, has not been the case for Harewood, who shared his long-time admiration for the player.

On £40.5m-rated Calvert-Lewin, the former West Ham and Aston Villa centre-forward told FFC:

“I haven’t been surprised because I’ve followed him, obviously strikers follow strikers, and he’s been a very top-class striker for many years. It’s just he hasn’t really had the time to shine. Since the new manager’s come in, he’s put a lot of faith in him and helped him along the way because he’s worked with a lot of top-class strikers.

“[He’s] showing him what he needs to concentrate on and once you get that understanding of ‘I want you to score goals, I want you to get into the box, I want you to look at videos, I want you to react to things, I don’t want you coming out of that area’, it just shows really. He’s been in those positions where he’s been threatening on goal and it’s just worked out for him.”

Last season was hardly a terrible a campaign for the England international either, where he also managed to reach double figures in the Premier League.

He scored 13 goals, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all clubs succumbing to the No.9’s finishing prowess, showing that he is also the man for the big occasion.

Calvert-Lewin has been making a name for himself on the international stage, too, scoring on his England debut against Wales before netting versus the Republic of Ireland.

The Everton man will now be hoping to get the call-up when England’s squad for the European Championships this summer is announced.

Pablo Hernandez is a Leeds United legend. The Spaniard has won three Player of the Season awards on the trot and without him, they may not be where they are today.

Together with Marcelo Bielsa, he has helped transform Leeds from a mid-table Championship outfit to a mid-table Premier League team.

It’s been quite the few years for not only the football club, but the dynamic duo too. Hernandez has been the heartbeat of this United team for a considerable period of time but we are now witnessing a changing of the guard.

Hernandez has only started two Premier League games all season with Rodrigo usurping him and most recently, Tyler Roberts earning minutes in the number 10 role.

The Welshman has caught the eye too, winning the Man of the Match award against Chelsea on Saturday after having a goal ruled out for offside. He also found the net against West Ham, only for it to be disallowed too.

At the moment, it feels like the Welshman can do anything but add to his goal tally. His minutes could be increased further next season as well.

That’s because Hernandez has been linked with a move to Spanish shores. The veteran was touted with a switch to Castellon in the winter window and it’s thought his boyhood club will revive their interest in the summer.

That being said, it’s not Roberts who is the creative midfielder’s most natural heir. Instead, that honour should go to the highly-rated Mateusz Bogusz.

The Polish teenager has been one to watch at Elland Road for a while now and was once tipped to light up Yorkshire alongside Hernandez by a certain Phil Hay.

Though, with the Spaniard potentially walking through the exit door, Bogusz may be asked to stand alone as Leeds’ prime creator.

Described as a “great talent” by his manager at international youth level, Czeslaw Michniewicz, he possesses a whole host of qualities that can make you stand to attention.

First and foremost, he has an eye for goal. The 19-year-old scored five goals in 33 outings for Ruch Chorzow before he’d even joined Leeds at the age of 17. Secondly, he has immense creativity.

The Poland youth product has managed 0.8 key passes a match this term in the Spanish second tier for UD Logrones. For context, that’s more than both Tyler Roberts and Hernandez has managed.

His most eye-catching statistic is undoubtedly in the dribbling category. Bogusz has amassed 1.3 successful dribbles per game this season, a tally only bettered by Raphinha in the Leeds squad.

With a space potentially opening up in Leeds’ midfield next season, Bielsa should certainly consider unleashing him. After all, he has similar qualities to the great Hernandez. He could just be the replacement they’re looking for.

As Harvey Elliott continues to sparkle, his call for a spot in the Liverpool squad next season grows louder and louder.

The winger, signed from Fulham as a 16-year-old nearly two years ago, is enjoying a stunning season with adopted employers Blackburn Rovers.

In 34 appearances for the Lancashire outfit this season, he has notched five goals and ten assists following his latest contribution against Norwich City on Saturday, a highly impressive count for a player so young.

This is even more eye-catching considering the responsibility he has taken on at Ewood Park, with just 20-goal Adam Armstrong being more productive in the squad at the time of writing.

It is a contribution and in fact understanding of his role that indicates an added maturity on his extremely young shoulders.

Elliott also has statistics that even rank him higher than some of his illustrious Anfield contemporaries.

According to WhoScorded, the youngster is averaging 1.1 shots per game which is more than the likes of Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain, Takumi Minamino, Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri.

His 1.7 key passes per game is also a truly outstanding number and ranks him joint-highest of the Liverpool squad alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane.

Whilst it is true that Elliott’s numbers have been accumulated in a much weaker league, those contributions bode extremely well considering that Elliott is unlikely to even hit his peak for at least another decade.

Jurgen Klopp is also certainly aware of the winger’s extreme promise and potential, labelling him as “special” just after his debut for the Reds.

Now rated at £13.5m, Elliott’s valuation is surely going to soar following his exhilarating season in the Championship, catapulting his chances of breaking into the Liverpool first team.

Those calls for him to be included won’t so much be shouts for much longer, they’ll soon be demands.
