قرر الاتحاد التركي لكرة القدم في بيان رسمي إحالة محترفنا المصري مصطفى محمد مُهاجم جالطة سراي، إلى مجلس التأديب والانضباط بالاتحاد، على خلفية طرده في مباراة أنقرة جوجو أمس الأربعاء.

وحصل مصطفى محمد على البطاقة الحمراء في الدقيقة 57 من زمن المباراة، بعدما قام بضرب إبراهيم أكداج بالمرفق مثلما كانت رؤية الحكم، وهذا عكس ما يراه مسؤولي جالطة سراي، الذين وصفوا القرار بالعار، وانتقدوا أسلوب لاعب أنقرة جوجو في السقوط على أرض الملعب.

مسؤولي جالطة، متمثلين في رئيس النادي مصطفى جنكيز، ونائب الرئيس الأول عبد الرحيم البيرق، ونائب الرئيس الثاني يوسف جوني، أعربوا عن غضبهم عقب نهاية المباراة بسبب طرد مصطفى محمد وركلة الجزاء التي احتسبت ضد الفريق، والأكثر غضبًا بينهم كان البيرق والذي قام بتوجيه السباب للمسؤولين (طالع ماذا قال؟).

وأكدت صحيفة “ستار” التركية، أن الاتحاد التركي قرر إحالة الثلاثي إلى مجلس التأديب أيضًا بسبب تصريحاتهم غير الرياضية.

كما أوضح بيان الاتحاد التركي أنه تم إحالة مصطفى محمد للجنة التأديب بسبب اعتبار ما فعله ضد إبراهيم أكداج تصرف غير قانوني.

Lots of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the news that the club has reportedly accepted a bid for Javier Hernandez, with time ticking away before the transfer window closes for the rest of Europe on September 2nd.

The Mexico international was believed to have handed in a transfer request in a bid to force a move away from the London Stadium before the deadline, and he looks to have moved closer to getting his wish after the Hammers accepted a bid – said to be from La Liga side Sevilla.

The 31-year-old has made two league appearances so far this term, scoring one goal, but was not even named on the bench in the 2-0 win over Norwich last time out, which suggests that something may soon be happening in regards to his future.

Hernandez’s departure would leave the east Londoners with only Sebastien Haller and Albian Ajeti up top.

وعن كورتوا: “بالنسبة لي، اعتبره الحارس الأفضل في العالم، نحن نعرف قدراته الفنية هناك حراس آخرون جيدون للغاية ولكن تيبو أثبت جدارته لهم”.

وإهدار الفرص من فينيسيوس وأسينسيو: “نحتاج إلى أن نسجل المزيد من الأهداف، ولكن الشيء الأهم هو صناعة الفرص وهذا ما يزداد في كل مباراة عما تسبقها ويؤكد مجهود لاعبينا الرائعين”.

Liverpool began their defence of the Champions League in the worst possible way on Tuesday, and their 2-0 defeat against Napoli means they are the first defending champions to lose their opening game since Milan in 1994.

It was a frustrating evening for the Reds. It may have been an improved showing on their previous performance at the San Paolo last year – in which they failed to register a single shot on target. Jurgen Klopp’s struggled to break down a stubborn Napoli defence and lapses in concentration at the back ended up costing them late on once again.

James Milner earned a recall to the side for his first start since Southampton, but the 33-year-old struggled to influence the game and his zero interceptions suggest he was off the pace, leading to criticism of his performance from some fans.

He wasn’t the only one to falter, however, with Andy Robertson giving away a penalty and Virgil van Dijk uncharacteristically costing his side the second goal with a backpass that played in Fernando Llorente to slot home.

In attack Liverpool lacked their usual flair and panache, with just four shots on target to show for their efforts. So all in all it was a frustrating night in Naples.

Dries Mertens fired in a penalty with under ten minutes remaining. Some felt it was harsh with accusations from notable names including James Pearce saying Jose Callejon dived, but the Italian side could have been in front earlier if not for a magnificent save from Adrian to keep out the Belgian.

The players may wish to forget about the match quickly but it is one they should learn a great deal from. Their away record in the Champions League since the beginning of 2018/19 now stands at five defeats from seven [excluding the final], and Klopp will be keen to ensure the trend doesn’t continue.

جدير بالذكر أن الأهلي يحتل المركز الثالث في المجموعة الأولى برصيد 4 نقاط متساويًا مع فيتا كلوب الذي يتواجد في الوصافة، ويتذيل المريخ بنقطة وحيدة، فيما يتصدر سيمبا برصيد 7 نقاط.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has poured cold water on reports that he has agreed a new long-term deal with the club.

Earlier this month, The Mirror reported that the 28-year-old had agreed a new six-year, £200,000-a-week contract at Anfield.

However, according to Sky Sports, Van Dijk has said that he is not currently in contract discussions and is instead focused solely on the Reds’ upcoming fixtures, starting with the Premier League visit to Chelsea on Sunday.

Sky Sports added that the centre-back is currently contracted to Liverpool until 2023, with The Mirror citing his present wages at £125,000 per week.

Van Dijk’s current standing in world football is reflected in his status as UEFA Men’s Player of the Year, while he has also been nominated for this year’s FIFA Best Men’s Player award along with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, as per FIFA.com.

His performances for Liverpool have attracted attention from elite clubs around Europe, with Spanish outlet AS reporting that both Barcelona and Real Madrid have eyes on signing him to bolster their centre-back options.

As noted by The Irish Mirror, Liverpool have successfully negotiated new deals for several first team players over the last 18 months, with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson, Andrew Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez all agreeing new contracts with the club in that time.

Therefore, the Reds may feel confident of securing Van Dijk’s long-term future at Anfield, although several ex-Liverpool players haven’t been able to resist the overtures of the aforementioned La Liga pair in the past.

Real Madrid brought Michael Owen to the Spanish capital in 2004, with Xabi Alonso making the same move five years later. Back as far as 1999, Steve McManaman swapped Anfield for Madrid.

Barcelona have also lured prized assets from Liverpool in recent years, with Javier Mascherano (2010), Luis Suarez (2014) and Philippe Coutinho (2018) all moving to Camp Nou from Merseyside.

Alonso and Suarez both left Anfield immediately after Premier League title challenges, but the Reds were nowhere near becoming champions at the time of the others’ departures. However, they are now the reigning Champions League holders and are setting the early pace in the Premier League.

History suggests that Liverpool often find it difficult to keep high-profile players in the wake of interest from clubs such as Barcelona and Real Madrid.

However, by tying down seven important players in recent months who made a combined 307 appearances between them (43.86 each on average) last season, it seems that the Reds’ prized assets now view Anfield as the pinnacle of their careers rather than a stop on the way to something better.

With nearly four years left on Van Dijk’s current deal, there is no need for Liverpool to rush into contract negotiations, while their status as European champions and promising start to the season suggests that this is a club where players can win silverware, which should help convince Van Dijk to further commit to the Reds.

In today’s Everton roundup, we take a look at what news has been doing the rounds for the Toffees. Jordan Pickford has praised summer signing Fabian Delph, former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has his say on Everton’s chance at making the top six, and the club could be set to register a major loss on the sale of Cenk Tosun.

Pickford buzzing over Delph signing

Report: Pickford, who has played alongside Delph for England, expressed his delight to the Liverpool Echo over the signing of the ex-Manchester City man. The goalkeeper said: “The lads were asking what type of lad he was. I was telling them he was a proper leader, a good lad around the place but I only knew him from England but I knew he was a proper leader and knew how to win.

“He’s settled quickly. He’s a great lad, all the lads buzz off him, he shows his qualities out on the training pitch and that shows on game day as well.”

“His quality is second to none, he can find a pass and he’s not scared to get on the ball, which City players aren’t,” Pickford continued.

“Delphy was playing for Leeds when he was 16-years-old, he’s experienced and he brings all of that with him and the winning mentality he talked about when he signed, hopefully helps everyone else.

“It’s great to have someone like Delphy in the squad, more leaders the better and I would class him as a leader, as well as many others, in the squad.

“That helps our club captains as well, so if we have more of them on the pitch it should make the game easier because everyone is demanding of each other.”

Verdict: Delph, as he proved for the champions, is a worthy addition to almost any squad, with his versatility and work rate. As demonstrated by Transfermarkt, the Englishman has played left-back, central midfield and as a left midfielder over the years.

His time at left-back came in City’s title-winning season of 100 points when Delph averaged a performance rating of 7.16 in 22 games as a replacement to the injured Benjamin Mendy. This season, the 29-year-old has averaged four tackles per game in the three times he has played and has so far proved to be a solid signing by Marco Silva, considering the injury to Andre Gomes and the poor form of Morgan Schneiderlin, who scored a 4/10 against Sheffield United.

As mentioned, with his versatility, Delph is a fantastic addition, and with the injuries and inconsistencies from those in the squad, it could prove to be one of the signings of the summer window for just £10m.

Club set for major loss on Tosun sale

Report: According to Football Insider, Everton are set to take a major loss on Tosun, who Silva wants to offload in January. The striker was set to move to Qatar, where the window does not finish until September 30, but with that avenue now closed, the Toffees are prepared to let the Turkey international leave in the winter for around £12m less than they bought him for.

Verdict: Everton signed Tosun from Besiktas for £27m, and with Silva set to let him go for £15m (as per the reports), it is fair to say this has been a poor piece of business. The 28-year-old came off the back of a sublime season in his homeland, bagging 20 goals as he was the main man in Besitakas winning the Super Lig.

However, since moving to Goodison Park, Tosun has bagged just three times in 36 appearances for the Merseysiders and this season he has played only 35 minutes in total, as he slipped further down the pecking order thanks to the addition of Moise Kean.

It would have perhaps been a wise move to let the former Besiktas man move to Qatar this summer, and used the cash from the sale in the winter window. It’s fairly simple – he has not worked out and probably won’t, and Silva should cash in on him as soon as possible

Benitez on the top six battle

Report: In a Q&A with The Athletic (as quoted by Inside Futbol), former Premier League manager Benitez has weighed in on the debate on the ever-growing potential that the likes of West Ham United, Everton or Leicester City could break the barrier on the top six.

Now managing in China at Dalian Yifang, Benitez said: “We talk about ‘six teams’, but for me Leicester, West Ham, Wolves and Everton can progress and challenge.

“Again, I will say Tottenham have all the experience and quality to do well and to stay in the top four.”

Verdict: If Benitez had stated this two months back, it would have been much easier to agree with considering the Toffees finished eighth last campaign and certainly looked like carrying with them some fantastic momentum into the new season. Silva’s men beat Manchester United 4-0, Arsenal 1-0, West Ham 2-0 and Chelsea 2-0 within the final few weeks of the season, and even held free-scoring Liverpool to a 0-0 in a Merseyside derby.

Ultimately, Everton picked up 22 points from their final 33 available towards the end, and it did look like they could potentially threaten the top six once again. However, it has been the exact opposite this year, conceding nine goals and scoring just five – the joint second least amount in the competition.

Across the squad, there have been worrying signs for the fans, with the defence letting in two goals in each of their five matches prior to the Carabao Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday, and forwards such as Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tosun and Kean are yet to pitch in with Premier League goals.

Right now, challenging the top six looks a long way off for Everton.
